The 2026 Cody Pools Sunshine Classic: Competition and Community for a Critical Cause
The 2026 Cody Pools Sunshine Classic, hosted at the Cleveland Heights Golf Course, served as far more than a day on the links. It was an exciting gathering of industry leaders, regional teams, and community partners united by a single, critical mission: the prevention of autism-related drownings in Florida.
A Unified Effort for Water Safety This year, the collaboration reached new heights as our Tampa team joined forces with colleagues from Orlando and Texas for a cohesive, company-wide event. By bringing together professionals from across the pool industry, we aimed to create a significant, lasting impact on water safety education. The primary objective of this tournament was to support the Baby Otter Swim School, an organization dedicated to providing specialized swimming lessons for children with autism. These programs are essential, as they teach life-saving survival techniques tailored to the specific needs of autistic children, providing families with peace of mind and the skills to prevent accidental drowning deaths.
Philanthropy in Action The success of the Sunshine Classic was built upon the collective generosity of those who believe in this life-saving mission. Our event sponsors and donators were instrumental in bringing this vision to life:
- Birdie Sponsors: Maschmeyer Concrete, Heritage, Pentair, Gorman, Jandy, and Elite Gunite.
- Par Sponsors: Microglass, Paramount, Belgard, Lyon Financial, Gunite Works, Pool Corp, and Pebble Pros.
- Basket Donators: Pop Stroke, PGA Superstore, California Pizza Kitchen, and Cody Pools Employees.
